Free Technical Repair Tip: Build your own (cheap) Audio Ground Loop Isolator. Ground Loops often introduce hum into Home Theatre systems when multiple components--such as Computers, TV's, Stereos, DVD players, VCR's are connected together. Use audio transformers with the appropriate impedances for your application. RCA Plugs and Jacks found on most components are "Line Level"--typically 600 ohm so CR45-698 and CR45-699 are appropriate for many applictions. If you are working with a different impedance and don't see audio transformers in the paragraph above--simply find a transformer with the right impedance on one side--and use two of them "back to back" to get the desired impedance. If your hum problems disappear when you disconnect your TV cable wire--then you need an RF Ground Loop Isolator (see our TV ANTENNA webpage): CR75-504 RF Isolation Transformer 75 ohm input & output
